He is the last born in a family of three children. He’s a total orphan who currently under the care of his grandmother who is very old. He is in grade four at Nyalenda Primary School. His Father died on 25th Feb 2010 when he was barely two, while his mother died in June 2018. His two Elder sisters Marion and Sheilah had already been taken by still Hope in 2014. He has been faced by challenges such us lack of school fees, poor nutrition, clothing and shelter. He is a very bright boy both at school and back home. Trever is the first born in a family of three. His father passed on in 2015 after a long sickness. Since then he has ben under the care of his mother Lilian who is very poor and unable to provide for her family. Trever is a very bright boy who always tops his class in his previous school. He was referred to Still Hope by one of the senior pastors of Divine Church. Given an opportunity he can do much better. He loves playing soccer, singing and dancing. He is trusting God to get a sponsor who would support his education and other basic needs .

Benard is a 11-year-old boy from a small village called Gem. He’s a Total orphan who has been staying under the care of his elder brother Barack who’s 12 years old. After the death of their parents, the three decided to stay by themselves with the help of well-wishers. Live became very hard for them and Benard decided to leave home in search of his Aunty who was married in Oyugis. The police found him when he was stranded in the streets at a police station. After three days he was handed over to the children’s department who then brought him to Still hope orphanage. The police late confirmed through his former school that the boy was truly an orphan the children’s officer decided that should be placed in a children’s home for further assistance and care. Benard is a well-disciplined boy and God-fearing. Currently, he is at school and he’s hoping to get a sponsor.

Bernard is the 3rd born in a family three children. He lost his father 10 yrs ago when he was two years old. His mother was working at a bus station as a tout and his mother had no job. His grandmother took him a few years after his father’s death because their mother could not take care of all of them. He was referred to Still Hope center through one of the pastors in our church who visited their home. At school he’s doing well and his dream is to become a banker when he grows up.

Beverly is a partial orphan who was born in Homa Bay County in part of Asego that is their home land, just next to the lake. Beverly was among the first admitted to Still Hope orphanage center in Oyugis . Beverly is the first born in their family and they are three siblings. After the death of their father who was the sole provider of the family, they began a very tough life from which she was referred to Still Hope. Beverly loves the following activities: singing, reciting poems, playing football, and teaching in Sunday School. Beverly is looking forward to study through the university level.

Jabez is a 6-year-old boy. He lives under the guardianship of Herine Ayiemba together with his only brother Shadrack. His father became a strong drug addict and abandoned the family. His father died on 1st May 2008 after battling with heart disease for many years. His mother became mentally handicapped after giving birth to their firth born. Currently Calvince is under the care of a good Samaritan called Pamela Auma. For two years he was a street boy before Pamela found her. Unfortunate the said guardian was diagnosed with lung cancer and has been bed-ridden since last year. Academically he is an average student but with great potential in him. He was referred to Still Hope by a friend of Pamela. Ever since he came God has changed his life. He received the Lord and was baptized. He’s now well-behaved and God-fearing. He likes playing soccer and singing. His dream is to become an electrician one-day God willing.

Caroline is the first born in a family of two siblings. She lost both her parents in 2007. Her father died in March and her mother followed two months later. She was left with her step -mother as the sole provider of the family. She later moved to stay with her aunt in Oyugis town where we found her living in a very poor condition with no job and no food since her Aunt became sick. Caroline is among the secondary boarding students of Still Hope center. Her academic work is so promising and we hope she will study up university level. She likes singing and participating in drama during her leisure time. Her dream is to become a lawyer.

Chrispine is the third born in a family of seven siblings. He lost both his parents and the year 2013 and 2014. Since then he has been under the guardianship of her step mother who is just a peasant farmer with other eight children of her own. He has been the best performing student in his previous primary grades. He’s very intelligent and good fearing. His hobbies are playing soccer and reading story books. Chrispine is unable to join high school at the moment despite the fact that he got very good grades in his primary. His prayer is to find someone who will hold his hands to his destiny.
