Dorothy is under the guardianship of her father who is not able to provide or take care of the family due to some mental disorder. Her father is a strong drug addict and his condition has exposed Dorothy and Vincent to a lot of risks. Many times, they survive through well wishers who sometimes show compassion on them and offer them food. Sometimes they can go survive even on water a one when there’s no food. Benard is a 9-year-old boy from a small village called Gem. He’s a Total orphan who has been staying under the care of his elder brother Barack who’s 12 years old. After the death of their parents, the three decided to stay by themselves with the help of well-wishers. Live became very hard for them and Benard decided to leave home in search of his Aunty who was married in Oyugis. The police found him when he was stranded in the streets at a police station. After three days he was handed over to the children’s department who then brought him to Still hope orphanage. Jeff is the last born in a family of two, his elder sister is called Sheryl Achieng, he was never lucky to see his father who died when Jeff was a little boy of 1yr old. Sheryl told us that the family of their father did not want their mother, after some period their uncles sent them and their mother away. They left home and came to the streets. They found one old abandoned house in the street where they took shelter, but after a while,the mother got very sick, they had no money to treat her and that’s when Jeff and his sister went to the streets to beg for food and money. One day as they were begging as usual they came across a woman called Neriah, a member of our Church who was running a small hotel in town. She came and told us about Jeff and Sheryl and that’s how we got them to still hope Centre. Jeff likes playing soccer, dancing, and singing too.
