Solomon is the second born in a family of two siblings He is 16 years old partial orphan. He lost his father when he was nine. His mother who is HIV/Aids positive is seriously sick and unable to take care of her family. Solomon has been living under the guardianship of his grandmother. He scored very good marks last year but could not join the high school of his merit because no one would pay for him school fees. So he decided to join a nearby day school whose standard is not very good. He had accumulated areas in the first and he was contemplating dropping out when schools resume in January next year. He is so talented in writing songs and singing, he is also a very good bible teacher and a footballer. His dream is to become a chemical Engineer or a lawyer one day. Your monthly support will ensure that Solomon gets good education, food and shelter. Above all she gets the opportunity to build his personality and to grow up in the knowledge and fear of God.

Sheila is the second born in a family of three children. Her father died in 2011 due to malaria and chest pain leaving the children with their mother. Later their mother abandoned them in the hands of their 70 year old grandmother who couldn’t provide for them even the basic needs. On visiting them at their home we realized that they had no proper food or medical attention. They had rashes all over their body due to poor living conditions and hygiene. They were referred to Still Hope by a local government official of the area (Chief). Sheila likes singing, reading and dancing. Her dream is to become a lawyer when she grows up.

Sheila was born out of wedlock in December 2011. Her late mother dropped out of school on primary grade six. She developed a serious complication after giving birth to Sheila and later died in October 2013. Since then Sheila has been leaving under the guardianship of elderly grandmother who is an old widow has an on and off sickness. Sheila is a very jovial bright girl who loves singing and dancing. Her dream is to become a teacher one day. She is trusting God for a sponsor who would help her achieve her dream of becoming a teacher.

Sharon is the last born in a family of three siblings. She is in primary grade Eight at Rawinji primary school. She lost her mother in 2010 when she was a small kid. Years later her got very sick and became mentally incapacitated. His father became very wild to an extent he couldn’t interact with anyone. He burnt to ashes his home with everything in it. Sharon and his brothers were rescued by the neighbors who heard the commotion and the cry. Since then Sharon has been under the guardianship of her grandmother who a widow and too old to provide for herself. Sharon was referred to Still hope by the principle of her school who had noticed her challenges. She is an average student with ability to do much better given and opportunity. She praying to get a sponsor who will support her to achieve her dreams of becoming a nurse when she grows up. She likes singing and playing netball.

Sharon is the first born child in a family of four children. She lost her father who was the bread winner of the family several years ago when she was a little girl. They were then left under the guardianship of her mother who been sickly since their father went to be with the Lord. Sharon is very much disciplined, ambitious, and with vision. Roseline lost her father in 2003 when she was 1-year-old according to the mother. Currently she is staying with her widowed mother who is very poor; she was just doing odd jobs to provide for her family. Now the mother is ailing and cannot do any work to earn income because she is paralyzed on one side. Roseline came to Still Hope through some children and brothers who were on a door to door evangelism in the village in December 2015. She loves drawing and singing. Her dream is to become an architect when she grows up.

Mercyline is the 2nd born in a family of five children. She goes to school at Sino D.O.K Primary school. She is the guardianship of her step mother Sabina Akoth. Her father was a polygamist who had three wives. Unfortunately, all of them have died except Sabina who was left with eleven children (all orphans) to look after. She is a very poor widow and cannot afford to provide for all these many children. Last year she became very sick and has been bed-ridden. Mercyline was referred to Still Hope by the school head teacher after hearing about Still hope. She is a very polite, disciplined and bright young girl. Her dream is to become a doctor one day. She likes singing in church and reading story books.

Maxwel is a pupil at Aramo Primary school in grade four. He was born out of wedlock then later abandoned by his mother who dropped out of school in grade 8 when she conceived a baby. In 2016 his mother was found died in the streets of Kisumu. His father was never known. Since then he has been under the guardianship and care of his old grandmother who is very sick. He is trusting God for an opportunity to be supported in his education and his basic needs. He was referred to Still Hope by the local government official known as the chief. He polite and well-disciplined boy. He also loves playing soccer.

Mary is a total orphan who was living in the streets of Oyugis town. She lost both her parents in the year 2010 due to HIV/AIDS. She was found in the streets by a widow called Florence Anyango who took her as her own child. She took her to school and provided her with clothes, food, and shelter. Sadly, Florence also died last year leaving Mary with no one to help her. She was referred to Still Hope orphanage home by her school headmistress Madam Rebecca. She is a very bright girl who has been at the top of her class. Her dream is to become an engineer in the future. Above all she is born again, and loves singing and reading.

Miriam was born outside wedlock. She was defiled by her stepfather at the age of 12. The children's department rescued her and brought her to Still Hope Orphanage. She is determined to go back to school against all odds. Her stepfather was convicted and is now serving 25-year jail term. Her poor mother was chased from that home, and no one knows her whereabouts to date .
