Bradox is the second born in a family of three siblings. He was made a partial orphan after the death of his father seven years ago. Bradox was left with his mother who is just a peasant farmer and she cannot produce enough to sustain her family. He was referred to us through their area chief who knows the Still Hope center and its humanitarian care for vulnerable children. Bradox is among the home based children in our center, He is doing well in his studies and he would like to be a journalist after his studies. He loves playing soccer during his leisure time.

Meldah is the last born in a family of ten children. Her mother died when she was two years old. Her father is a very poor peasant farmer. Out their ten siblings four of them also have died in different situations. Their living condition is even worse than some orphans despite having a father. She joined Still hope 6 years ago and she is still trusting God to get a sponsor. Melda is a very bright young girl and she is always position one in her class with the best score. She is a very quiet girl but with a very sharp IQ. She says, one day she wants to be a doctor to treat many sick people in her village. She likes reading and praying and singing too.

Winslet was born out of wedlock in 2009 when her mother dropped out of school due to early pregnancy. Her mother later became very sick which ended in a total mental incapacitation. She has been living under the care of the elderly grandmother who is a widow and also HIV positive. Currently Winslet is unable to go to school well since the condition of her grandmother has been worse day by day. She come from a very humble Christian background and she was referred to Still Hope the local government officer known as the chief. Winslet’s dream is to become a doctor one day. Vanily is a partial orphan who is living under the care of her sick mother Judith Achieng. Her mother has been bed ridden for the past two years. She can neither walk nor work to provided for her family. Vanily’s father passed on in 2011 when she was only two years old. Currently being the only child, she is the one playing the role of the mother and father to provide for her sick mother. She has been missing classes in several occasions at school due to lack of money to pay for her exams. This is according to her teacher. She was referred to Still Hope by the local government official known as the chief. She likes singing and playing soccer too. Her prayer is to get someone who will lead her to her destiny.

Maxwel is a pupil at Aramo Primary school in grade four. He was born out of wedlock then later abandoned by his mother who dropped out of school in grade 8 when she conceived a baby. Even getting a daily meal according to him would come by chance. In most cases he used ask for food from the neighborhood. His mother drinks too much that she doesn’t care about him anymore.
