Emmanuel is a total orphan who has been living under the care of her grandmother, Rebecca. He is the second last born in a family of 5 children. His three older siblings finished primary school but they couldn’t proceed to high school because their grandmother could not afford to pay their school fees. The grandmother is just a peasant farmer who works for people on their farms to put food on the table. Emmanuel is trusting God to get someone who supports him to achieve his dreams of becoming an electrical engineer. He's a well-behaved God-fearing boy with great potential. He’s a gifted soccer player and he also likes singing. Any help towards Emmanuel will be highly appreciated.

Bradox is the second born in a family of three siblings. He was made a partial orphan after the death of his father seven years ago. Bradox was left with his mother who is just a peasant farmer and she cannot produce enough to sustain her family. He was referred to us through their area chief who knows the Still Hope center and its humanitarian care for vulnerable children. Bradox is among the home based children in our center, He is doing well in his studies and he would like to be a journalist after his studies. He loves playing soccer during his leisure time.

Emma joined Still hope in 2016. She is now a student at Masinde Muliro Univsersity of Technology and Agriculture. She is a very vulnerable child. Her mother was mentally incapacitated seven years ago. Her father has been sick and seriously bed-ridden for more than four years now. Emma being the first born in a family of four had dropped out of school so that she could look for a job. Their school headmistress heard about this and brought her to Still Hope. Now she has been in Still Hope for seven years and has been able to go to school normally. Emma is a very bright child always in top five of her class. However, she has not been lucky to get a sponsor. Her dream is to become a quantity surveyor one day God willing.

Felix is a son to the late Kennedy Odoyo and Judith Akoth. He’s a partial orphan who had lost his father and the mother is just a peasant farmer with five more children. Felix is a very bright boy who is always in top ten in his class. Still Hope assessment on his family revealed that Felix is very poor and vulnerable and deserved to be supported. He is a very disciplined and God-fearing boy with great potential in him. He just finished high school and he’s now waiting to join college in Feb 2023 His dream is to become an interior designer one day God willing. He likes singing and reading most of the time. He also plays soccer sometimes.

Sheryl is the first born in family of two whose father died when she was very young. She told us that the family of their father did not want their mother, after some period their uncles sent them and their mother away. They left home and came to the streets. They found an old abandoned house in the street where they took shelter, but after a while the mother got very sick. They had no money to treat her and that’s when she and her brother Jeff went to the streets to beg for food and money. Life became so harsh on them when their sick mother disappeared and abandoned them on the streets. To date they still don’t know the whereabouts of their mother. One day they came across a widow called Nereah who had sympathy on them and brought them to still hope. Sheryl loves singing, fetching water and reading story books; she also plays soccer. Her desire is to study hard in school to become a nurse when she grows up.

The minor is a partial orphan who live with his elderly grandmother who’s ailing thus unable to meet the basic needs as she is also taking care of Clinton’s ailing mother. His father who was the sole bread winner of the family died in 2012. He was referred to still hope orphanage home by their school head teacher who had once visited still hope. Clinton is a well behaved and disciplined boy whose dream is to become a lawyer when he grows up. He has finished primary school and he’s now waiting to join highschool in February 2023. He loves playing soccer and singing Christian songs. Clinton is praying that God will send a destiny helper his way to enable him achieve his dreams.

His dream is to become an aeronautical engineer when he grows up. He likes reading, singing and reciting poems. John is a partial orphan living under the guardianship of his mother who is sick and also drug addict. He joined still hope 7 years ago. His father died due to HIV/AIDS in 2003 when he was only three years old. We found Kirkwood in a very pathetic situation with no one to take good care of him. Even getting a daily meal according to him would come by chance. In most cases he used ask for food from the neighborhood. His mother drinks too much that she doesn’t care about him anymore. He was referred to still hope by their school head teacher who is a friend to still hope. Currently he’s in Form three at Saye Boys High School. Kirkwood's dream is to become a great teacher like his late father. He loves playing soccer, singing and reading story books. He’s also trusting God for a sponsor.

She was left with her mother who was sickling and could not provide for the family needs well, due to that situation. Dorothy became very sick when she was young that she could start school at the right time. she was referred to us by their church pastor who was aware of still hope and its care to the vulnerable children. Dorothy has just finished primary school and she is now waiting to join high school in February 2023.Her dream is to become a teacher one day so that she can also impact knowledge especially to vulnerable children in her community. she loves singing and athletic during her leisure time.
